Halloween Party
With it being an annual Alexander tradition, we organized exciting entertainments and events for everyone in house to enjoy. My friends and I were lucky to win the "Fans' Favorite" award with the Squid Game costume.

Duke of Edinbourough
In DofE, pupils need to do physical, skill, and volunteering activities for an extended period of time, before embarking on an exciting adventure to discover the flora and fauna of the Peak District as the qualifying hike. After completing Bronze and Silver, I decided to continue with Gold, which challenges my time management skills and determination.

Robotics Club
Competing in FRC and FIRST, the school's robotics club is a renowned club known for its competitiveness and inclusivity. Having joint as a beginner, I learnt a lot from my more experienced piers and had loads of fun salvaging parts for squad leader Benji.

House Song
I remember the excitement of participating in the House Song Competition for the first time; the bonding experience of performing on stage together with peers is partially why it's a Brighton tradition. Looking back now as a guitarist and choreographer, it was a great practice of leadership and organization. Getting 4th formers to turn up to rehearsals on time is harder than you might think!

Photography Club
Clubs are a big part of Brighton life after lessons. I am very keen on photography and photoshop, so I built my own club to share my passion with more people. It was fulfilling seeing the club grow from 3 to 11 members; we even had our works published in the college newspaper!
Coping with COVID...

When school stopped and everyone broke up into the fragmented corners of the world, these videos were more than tutorials - they held everyone together through our shared passion. That perhaps is why photography means more than taking photos to me. I view it as a lifestyle, a bonding, and a way to empower.
“( Photography Club is) The one thing I looked forward to on a Thursday afternoon! 🤣 ”

Macbeth Production
Deciding to partake in the audition for the 2022 Macbeth cast was already a big step out of my comfort zone - let alone finding out that I was actually given a role! Looking objectively at my ability to perform at the time, I firmly believe there was a certain degree of confirmation bias at play. A self-blinding halo based on my previous experiences must have clouded my judgment, foolishly assuming drama is just a fun walk in the park. Little did I know I would be embarking on one of the most challenging and rewarding adventures of my time in L6th.
It is well worth it!
